I started Adversary Village six years ago so the adversary simulation community would have a home at DEF CON. At DEF CON 34 I have moderated a Creator Stage panel looking back on those six years.
On the panel were Bryson Bort (SCYTHE, ICS Village), John Hoehne (Village Department Lead, DEF CON) and Anant Shrivastava (Cyfinoid Research). We talked about how threat actors have changed since 2021, what the community has done well, where the gaps still are, and what it takes to keep a volunteer-run village going year after year.
